To be an outstanding Asia frozen food & supply enterprise, Meijia Group established stable cooperation with well-known research institutes in area of product research and development. Institutions includes Yellow Sea Fisheries Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences, Ocean University of China, Dalian Ocean University, Xiamen University, and Shandong Agricultural University, etc. Meijia Group became scientific research institute of "production, study and research" base.

In October 2018, Meijia Group was granted as a National Marine Fish Processing Technology Research and Development Center by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.

A department of research and development is established in January 2013, all experts in this department have years of experiences in food research and development.

Prepared food is one of the current developments. It is targeting to domestic and foreign markets, products include prepared side dishes, soups, fried foods, etc.
